District V Vice President VACANCY - Deadline is April 1, 2012 - email the completed application to Deena and plan on presenting yourself at the Regional Business Meeting at the International Convention. Here's the application. NOTE: The regional team and I have heard repeatedly that the reason chapters cannot afford students to serve as Regional Officers is because of the cost associated and the lack of funds and support from the college. In order to provide more opportunities for our regional members, we’ve taken a hard look at our financial situation and have formulated a plan to assist with this challenge. Beginning this election term (as of Sunday, March 4, 2012), the Greater Northwest Region will provide up to $5000 for travel related expenses per Regional Officer. For example, this would include registration, travel, and lodging for International Convention in April 2012, Honors Institute in June 2012, Summer Conference in August 2012, Fall District Conference in September/October 2012, Spring Regional Conference in March 2013, and International Convention in March 2013. The only cost for the Regional Officer would be food per diem which could be covered by the individual officer and/or chapter.
